I’ve seen a couple of PS magazine articles that indicated that the since the M880s were not considered true tactical trucks, they were only supposed to be used to the rear of Brigade.) there was no  “official” location for these items, as they  weren’t part of the truck’s normal load.   However, the article did go on to state that if your local command required these items, the local command would provide direction as to mounting locations.

Is there anybody out there with 1970s or 1980s Army experience who can provide some information on where these items were mounted in their command.  If I get enough useful information, I will incorporate your information into an article for the Journal.  (Note to exchange newsletter editors.  Please copy and run this ad as well.  It would be appreciated.
